Brand New Rebel

A session with Brand New Rebel, shot loud and close in the room where they actually work — a cramped rehearsal space wallpapered in flash art and old show posters. No stage, no lighting rig: just the four of them, the gear, and however far the frontman could throw himself before hitting a wall.

A low-angle shot of the band gathered on a stairwell, one member perched above the others against exposed pipework and an old air conditioning unit.
A band member stands alone in an empty parking garage, arms crossed, a full tattoo sleeve visible down one arm.
The drummer, headphones on, mid-hit at the kit, a Hokusai wave tapestry pinned to the wall behind him.
The bassist plays with his head down, a chain necklace catching the light against the fretboard of his bass.
The guitarist works out a riff in profile, the vocalist a blur of motion in the background.
